With over 25 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, Lindy has had the privilege of working across diverse settings, including long-term psychiatric hospitals, community mental health, and primary mental health care. Her expertise is centred on helping adults with complex mental health needs to enhance their mental well-being and live fulfilling, independent lives. She is also interested in working with older people with mental and physical health challenges to improve their quality of life.
Lindy holds a post-graduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and have an interest in therapeutic approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. These modalities guide her work in empowering clients to develop resilience, improve coping strategies, and achieve meaningful goals.
Lindy is passionate about supporting people in realizing their potential. She firmly believes that everyone has the potential to change, and with the right support, anyone who is willing can lead a purposeful, balanced life. Her approach is client-centred, focusing on collaboration and individual strengths to foster growth and positive outcomes.
In her free time, Lindy enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors, hiking, cooking and gardening.
