Occupational Therapist

Kate is an occupational therapist with 13 years of experience in supporting people in private and community settings. Kate has a passion for working with adults, in particular mothers to improve their mental health and overall function.
Kate has worked in clinical and community settings with people of all ages. She has extensive experience in soft tissue rehabilitation and pain management and has seen how much pain can affect mental health. Kate has successfully worked with a variety of people to improve their function and overall quality of life while living with pain.
Kate has a strong interest in maternal health and supporting new mothers through the transition into motherhood. This support includes providing strategies to improve self-care, coping skills for increased stress and anxiety, parenting and sleep strategies as well as creating a safe space for mothers to debrief about their new maternal roles.
Kate uses a range of evidence-based approaches in her practice including graded exposure, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, activity analysis and life skills development, among others.
In her spare time, Kate enjoys spending time with her two young children, going to the gym and watching sports.
