Senior Occupational Therapist

Joanna has been a Mental Health Occupational Therapist since 2007, working across inpatient, rehabilitation and community mental health settings with adults aged 18 – 65+.
Joanna is passionate about supporting adults with complex mental health diagnoses to achieve their goals by maximising their functional capacity to live a meaningful and satisfying life.
Joanna embraces a person-centred, trauma informed, recovery-based approach to working with clients and utilises a number of frameworks that take a holistic view of a person and all the factors that interact to affect a person’s levels of function and wellbeing.
Joanna utilises a broad range of evidence-based assessments and interventions including but not limited to CBT, DBT skills, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Sensory modulation, Somatic work, behavioural activation, advanced Counselling and Psychotherapy skills.
Joanna is particularly interested in working with people with Neurodiverse backgrounds and chronic illnesses.
In her spare time she enjoys Yin Yoga, snorkelling and camping with her family.
